SCI 111 Microbiology
Microbiology designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the biology, ecology, and pathology of microbes. Topics include learning about the structure, diversity, evolution, and genetics of viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
Prerequisite
Because this class is based on understanding the biology of microbes, and it includes a co-requisite life science lab, students must have
SCI 102 and
SCI 102L in order to be fully prepared.
Corequisite
This course has an asynchronous online, co-requisite, 2 QH lab class (
SCI 111L) that is pass/fail. It will employ online labware (Labster) in order to conduct virtual lab experiments and explore the microscopic universe and biology of microbes.
